Meredith Hamm is an Educational Instructor at Bright Mind Enrichment, artist, and author/illustrator of children’s books. Her debut title, King Zucchini, is a big-hearted story exploring the strong emotions that can arise in response to change and new situations from worry and anxiety to anger and everything in between and the journey to finding calm.

In addition to creating her own work, Meredith spent over 15 years guiding college art and design students, helping hundreds understand the human response to color, shape, and form. That experience deeply shapes her storytelling and visual approach.

Meredith lives in Portland, Oregon, with her husband, son, Zucchini the dog, and Willow the cat. She can play a decent Chopin nocturne, pogo-stick with the best of them, and finds more four-leaf clovers than really makes sense.
