Bright Mind Enrichment (BME) is an award-winning non-profit organization recognized for our innovative initiatives, such as Wellness Week and ‘Street Care’. Our outreach has reached up to 60 million people, and we have been featured on CBS, Politico, ABC, and Newsweek. We are now looking to expand our impact globally, with plans to launch our programs in India, bringing our community-centered approach to new regions in need. You will work closely with our International and Technical Teams, contributing to meaningful projects that drive real-world change by enhancing our online platforms and digital outreach. Position Summary:
The Web Development Coordinator will play a key role in assisting with the design, development, maintenance, and improvement of BME’s web pages and online applications. Working closely with our project managers, content creators, and other developers in both the US and India, this role is critical for ensuring our digital projects are user-friendly, accessible, and effectively support our mission.

Position Title: Web Development Coordinator (India)
Position Type: Volunteer (Unpaid)
Time Commitment: Minimum 15 hours per week
Location: Open (Anywhere in India)
Eligibility: Undergraduate students and above with a foundational understanding of web development.
Key Responsibilities:
- – Assist in the development and maintenance of new and existing web pages and features for BME websites.
- – Collaborate with the team to translate UI/UX design wireframes into functional web interfaces.
- – Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and potentially other web technologies.
- – Help troubleshoot, debug, and resolve issues on our web platforms.
- – Contribute to website updates, content integration, and ensuring cross-browser compatibility and responsiveness.
- – Participate in team meetings, code reviews (as appropriate), and project planning sessions.
- – Assist in implementing SEO best practices and ensuring web accessibility standards are met.
- – Stay updated with emerging web development trends and propose new ideas to enhance our digital presence.
Skills:
- – Basic understanding of front-end technologies: HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+).
- – Familiarity with responsive web design principles and mobile-first development.
- – Exposure to version control systems (e.g., Git, GitHub) is a plus.
- – Experience with or willingness to learn JavaScript frameworks/libraries (e.g., React, Vue, Angular) or back-end technologies (e.g., Node.js, Python) is highly desirable.
- – Familiarity with CMS platforms (e.g., WordPress) is a plus.
- – Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- – Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines.
- – Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a remote team environment.
- – A genuine interest in the non-profit sector and Bright Mind’s mission.
