Bright Mind is an award-winning non-profit organization recognized for our innovative initiatives, such as Wellness Week and ‘Street Care’. Our outreach has reached up to 60 million people, and we have been featured on CBS, Politico, ABC, and Newsweek. We are now looking to expand our impact globally, with plans to launch our programs in India, bringing our community-centered approach to new regions in need. You will work closely with our International Team, contributing to meaningful projects that drive real-world change. Position Summary:

As a Finance Coordinator, you’ll support the financial planning, reporting, and monitoring of our programs in India. Working in close collaboration with U.S. and India-based teams, you will ensure financial integrity, transparency, and accountability across projects—helping us turn every donated rupee into meaningful impact.

Position Title: Finance Coordinator (India)

Position Type:  Volunteer (Unpaid)

Time Commitment:  Minimum 15 hours per week.

Location: Open (Anywhere in India).

Eligibility: Undergraduate students and above.

Key Responsibilities:

• – Assist in tracking project budgets, expenditures, and reimbursements across multiple initiatives.
• – Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions and donations.
• – Prepare periodic financial reports and summaries for stakeholders and funders.
• – Support compliance with financial policies, grant requirements, and audit standards.
• – Help develop cost-effective strategies for resource allocation and fundraising.
• – Collaboration with the program leads to forecast budget needs and flag inconsistencies or variances.
• – Work with the admin and project teams to coordinate expense documentation and reporting.
• – Assist in streamlining finance-related workflows using tools like spreadsheets or accounting software.

Skills:

• – Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
• – Good organizational and time-management skills.
• – Familiarity with budgeting, bookkeeping, or financial reporting.
• – Knowledge of Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.
• – Prior experience with nonprofit finance or donor tracking is a plus.
